Awareness
Awareness is the first step to insight about one's self. It opens the door that challenges the person to change. However, be careful and consider the consequences before turning the knob that opens the door. Behind that door lurks struggle, disappointment, fear of failure, and bad thinking that has turned into habits, and they blocked the light rays of hope, faith and love. These light rays when permitted motivates the desire within to step out of the boat and walk the waters of life.
Awareness, if permitted, strips away all the reasons that one uses to keep themselves from being different from family, friends, neighbors and anyone else. It is the tank of oil yearning to be poured out over a world that so badly needs a fresh anointing. Awareness makes one aware of the journey, the purpose for living and also the purpose of dying.
Awareness, the basic element needed to ignite the fire that makes one leave the spot of comfortability and move out into the unknown.

Awareness is All! Lovely post Patricia along with the warning of 'opening the door'. But it is for sure the basic element.
ReplyDeleteHello My Dear,
DeleteThank you. You are so right it is the basic element. Without the awareness we walk around in ignorance. It is truly the very first step.
Let me thank you once again for making me aware of this wonderful blog challenge. I am looking forward to tomorrow.
Ciao,
Patricia
Patricia, I agree with you that awareness must come with a warning signal - beware of what you find when you peel away the layers! Peace, my friend, and I think I'm inspired to do this blogging A-Z...will try to figure out how to do it! :)
ReplyDeleteHello My Dear Friend,
DeleteThank you for your support. By all mean join in. I don't think it is too late. It doesn't take much to set it up and you can still put in today's blog post for the letter A.
Please Google A to Z Blog Challenge and you will receive the information you need.

Hello Patricia, I posted on yours ages ago this morning .. And I see it is not here!!! I wrote Awareness is All! The basic requisite to be in and of the world as one travails the path of life. Be alert, aware as much as possible at all times. yes, be mindful ofthe door that you open. Fine- tune your awareness so that it sings. loved your post thank you.
ReplyDeleteHello my Dear,
DeleteSorry. Please forgive me for not approving right away. Today was a holiday in Germany. Thank you so much for your loyal support.

Now I am posting for the THIRD time. My first -ages ago - is not up, so I posted about this again- and it disappeared! What o what am I being unaware of, I ask myself..
ReplyDeleteAwareness is All in my view. As you say, it is the requirement to light the fire as one walks the path... A heightened awareness keeps you in touch with one's self, and also others. Those antennaes are keenly aware of all that is happening in your surrounds and even further.
This was a lovely post Patricia thank you.
I thank you for your patience. You are really a dear and I am looking forward to tomorrow.
DeleteCiao,
Patricia
Hi Pat, wonderful post. You have a wonderful way with words as well as their meaning. Funny how awareness strikes at different times to different people. I've seen awareness in babies and yet so many people don't realize it until near the end of their lives. Perhaps because I feel awareness consists of the body, mind and soul. I wish I had time to do this with you. I love writing short things and this looks like so much fun!!
ReplyDeleteMy Dearest Micki,
DeleteThank you. I agree with you, awareness consists of the body, soul and spirit. There are children that are born with this inner wisdom to reach out and explore, to search and attain their purpose. They are aware that they have a destiny to fulfill.
I wish you were a part of this too. I had never heard of it until a dear friend and writer Susan Scott told me about it. Actually, her description of it made me eager to join the challenge. I am excited about what will happen in the coming days.
Love you, Lady.

Patricia - this is so YOU. An inspiration, an annoiting oil, in your own way, challenging others as much as your self. I am always aware of you and your words. Thank you for posting.
ReplyDeleteI think I might check out the site as well. I am pretty sure the scheduling will allow a quick thought daily. You are a diamond!
Hugs!
Thank you my dear friend. Please check out the site. You can google it under A to Z Blog Challenge. Today was the first day, and I don't think it is too late for you to register and do the letter A.
DeleteTomorrow is the letter B.

Simply having such aware friends, Patrricia, as you and our dear friend Susan, helps keep me thinking from an aware state of mind and gives me the courage to step out of the boat. You are my water wings.
ReplyDeleteCiao,
Samantha
My Dear Friend,
DeleteThank you for the words of praise. May I say that I feel the same about you. It is a pleasure to read about your journey because I learn much about my own life.
Thank you for your loyal support.

Awareness! Let's be aware of God's beauty all around us! Stop and watch in awe as the sun rises out of the mist, stand jaw agape as it melts into the tree line. See how He lights our path with a moon so bright the streets look like snow! See the veins in the leaf giving life to the tree! Here the sound of the early morning birds calling, Good Day, Master! Feel the silence of the evening, and enjoy the breath of a newborn baby sleeping on your neck! Be aware of our Savior walking side by side with us, when it all seems too hard, hear the Holy Spirit say, one more step, child, just one more, the victory is near!
ReplyDeleteGood choice, my friend! Can't wait to read the rest!! I love you!
Yes you are right - be careful. Some people become so self aware that they focus on their own deficiencies.
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteI love that last part of your sentence, because often that is the case. Some people do get caught up in their self-awareness and start focusing on their deficiencies, which binds them in a prison.
Thank you dear friend for supporting me.
Ciao,
Pat
Hey Patti
ReplyDeleteLarry is way right about being caught up in deficiencies...The trick to being self aware is to finally see that we don't have to be wrapped in our blankets and cocoons of uncertainty and fear.
