Bravery

Bravery is often seen as something earned through a battle of war.  But what about the war that rages as we walk through life. Life is war composed of battles that we have to overcome in order to live our life with meaning, and if we do not have the bravery to

  • Not buckle under peer pressure
  • Not be conned by the flashing glamor of what others have
  • Not say yes to the spirit of self-pity lurking within us on our horizon

Then we will find ourselves losing our own war.

It takes bravery to get up every morning and live your  life purpose.

  • To stand up courageously with a focused mind based on principles that you believe in.
  • To remain consistent and stay the course when everything seems against you.
  • To face the battles coming against you as fearfully move toward your goals, without having any answers.

Bravery makes us plan times of rest and recuperation, because it calls us to renew ourselves by doing fun things. That is  one of bravery's  attributes. Even though it demands  you to be strong and courageous, it beckons you in times when the struggle will be most difficult to rest before you enter into a serious battle.

Do you incur injuries? Of course, you do. No war is fought without injuries or loss. However, the healing streams that flow from the knowledge that you are becoming what you are to be renews your desire and quicken your motivation to return back to the battlefield. You don't give up, you keep conquering your frontier.

Ciao,
Pat Garcia

  2. Patricia, what a lovely wake up call to us all to know that life is not easy; and that we each have our own cross to bear and road to walk and NOT to be influenced by a culture that focuse on glamour and youth. To face the world with courage and principle and see that once you've climbed the highest mountain, there is yet another to climb - a wake up call indeed! Thank you so much dear Patricia!

  5. Bravery! Like David, he didn't run from the giant, he ran TOWARD the giant, with a little rock and strength from God! It is very hard to be brave, yes, unless we are sure of where we stand. Sometimes I waver, even knowing that I don't fight alone. Sometimes it takes bravery just to admit we need help. God is with us, and you are going to do so well in this A to Z blog! Woohoo, I can't wait to keep going! Love you!

  6. So very true. Every day we are fighting battles - many of them internal. Bravery, as you say, comes in many different forms.
