Hello
Everyone,
It
is the first Wednesday of the month, and IWSG Time.
IWSG
is a writer support group created by Alex Cavanaugh. It is a big help to many
of us who do not mind sharing our insecurities, our successes or giving
encouragement and help to others.
So,
if you are interested and would like to join, the link below will lead you
directly to us:
My
report:
Submissions
still out:
Wordhaus.
Haven’t got an answer yet, but maybe they take a long time to deliberate.
I
start submitting this month.
Cover Reveal: Still Me…After
All These Years
Don’t Belittle The
Small Steps
Changes in my author
life find me picking up the gauntlet every morning as I walk on another
level. I’m learning not to belittle the
small steps.
How many steps I take each day, I don’t know. Time is irrelevant in the spiritual world where human eyes cannot see or grasp what's happening. It is scary but
exhilarating. Determination and faith get me up every morning and keep me going throughout my day. Small steps, don’t belittle the small steps.
Easy? No!
Sometimes the wind blows hard in my face. But
each small step taken during my day makes me happy. At night, I sleep better. Cause I don't belittle the small steps.
Two small steps: In February, I made the shortlist for the WEP
Challenge with my short flash fiction, The Box in the Loft.
In the anthology, Still Me…After All These Years, my
first published non-fiction work will appear. Small Steps. Don’t
belittle the small steps!
Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand. Zechariah 4:10 (New Living Translation by Tyndale House Foundation)
Be safe and until next month,
Shalom aleichem,
Pat Garcia

Congratulations on the anthology!
ReplyDeleteTime is irrelevant in the spiritual world - that is so very true.
Thank you, Alex. The irrelevance of time in the spiritual world was a difficult concept for me to accept . Even now I have to remind myself at times that God will always give me more than enough time to do those things that I am supposed to do.
DeleteShalom aleichem,
Pat G
Congratulations! And yes, don't belittle the small steps. They're so vital to the journey.

Well done. Small steps can make the biggest difference. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnna from elements of emaginette
Thank you, Emaginette. Yes, the small steps is what make the difference, and that is difficult to learn because we look at those big steps and want to arrive in a day. But success doesn't happen that way.
DeleteShalom aleichem,
Pat G
Wise advice for us all. So often we rush through life and miss so much. There is great treasure to be found in little things.

Turtles are high speed racers when compared to the publishing industry. Patience is the first thing authors have to master after they master their craft. Good luck. I'm sure you'll get a positive response.
