Welcome to our first IWSG Day of the year for 2024.
IWSG is a writers' support group created and led by Alex J. Cavanaugh.
Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It's a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!
This group is an immense help to many of us who do not mind sharing our insecurities and successes or giving others encouragement and support.
So, if you are interested and would like to join, the link below will lead you directly to us.
https://www.insecurewriterssupportgroup.com/p/iwsg-sign-up.html
Submissions: Submitted to the WEP Anthology
Our Twitter handle is @TheIWSG, and the hashtag is #IWSG.
The awesome co-hosts for the January 3 posting of the IWSG are Joylene Nowell Butler, Olga Godim, Diedre Knight, and Natalie Aguirre!
I have begun to look at Mastodon. I am still with X, but I want other options.
I am on Book Bud, but I haven’t taken the time to get involved with it to say that I follow readers who follow me on Book Bud only. I can say that I follow readers who follow me consistently and put out the word about what I write as long as they are on social media that I am comfortable with.
Wishing all of you a successful 2024.
Shalom shalom

Your strategy of following back readers who follow you consistently seems like a good one. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI'm on BookBub but not doing much with it.
ReplyDeleteYour profile pic is beautiful. Even off the page your lovely spirit comes through. Happy New Year, Pat. Best to you and yours in 2024.
ReplyDeleteI tried Mastodon, but I couldn't seem to make it work for me. Of course, I gave up at Christmas when things sped up in my life, so I didn't give it a chance. Tell us how it works.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I looked into Mastodon, and it seemed so complicated and confusing. Now I'm looking at Substack. But then I think, hey, I'm okay with Facebook. I don't think you sell books with many of the social media sites, but you do get your name out into the world. And I love interacting with folks online. Happy 2024!
ReplyDeleteI find I'm shrinking from social media & blogging a lot more these days. Too much to keep up!
ReplyDeleteWishing you all the very best for 2024!
I confess, I'm just learning about BookBub. I agree, readers supporting authors they like sounds like a good idea.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a healthy and joyful creative new year.
I'm on a lot of places and not doing much with any of them!
