Welcome to our THIRD IWSG Day of the year 2025.
IWSG is a writers’ support group created and led by Alex J. Cavanaugh.
At IWSG, we believe in the power of sharing and encouragement. Writers of all levels and genres can express their doubts and concerns without fear of judgment. Our community is a haven for all insecure writers!
This group is an immense help to many of us who do not mind sharing our insecurities and successes or giving others encouragement and support.
So, if you’re a writer seeking a supportive community, IWSG is the place for you. Join us and experience the benefits of sharing your journey with like-minded individuals. The link below will lead you directly to us.

Our Twitter handle is @TheIWSG, and the hashtag is #IWSG.
The awesome co-hosts for the March 5 posting of the IWSG are Ronel Janse Van Vuuren, Pat Garcia, and Liza @ Middle Passages!
PASS IT ALONG
If I could be one thing for one day, I would be an influencer with a podcast or podcaster. I learn a lot every day of my life, and what I don’t want to do is take my knowledge and experience to my grave. I once heard a preacher say that the graveyard is the wealthiest place in the world because people die not sharing what they have learned while walking on the earth. I want to share what I know and what I have experienced. It doesn’t help me to take it to my grave, and the best way to do it is by becoming a podcaster or, as others say, an influencer.
I wish all of you a beautiful March.
Take care and be safe.
Shalom shalom

That is a beautiful and strong message. We should be sharing what we know and sad to die with that knowledge.
ReplyDeleteThanks for co-hosting today!
I think your posts here could also influence, and share your knowledge. Best wishes and thank you for co-hosting IWSG this month.
ReplyDeleteIt is sad to think about all the people who have passed and took their wisdom and knowledge with them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for co-hosting this month. Your answer to this month's question is a cool one.
ReplyDeleteA podcast is a great way to share your knowledge :-) Check out Podbean -- I find their interface easy to use.

Wise words: Share what you know. Thanks for co-hosting, Pat. And thanks for sharing so much of yourself on each post. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteGo for it, Pat! I listened to a podcaster who said she started out recording podcasts on her phone. Don't let anything stop you. Grab those dreams!
ReplyDeleteAnonymously Esther O'Neill, East of the Sun, with no google account and 0G . First, thank-you for co-hosting, IWSG is a lifeline for all writers, some possibly more insecure than others. Yes, podcasters, influencers can be superb communicators.
ReplyDeleteSome of us - me, for instance, don't have the right kind of personality for such direct communication- but we can listen.
A wonderful influencer is always needed. And I love what the Preacher said, too true!!!
ReplyDeleteI think this is what we are doing here. We share what we know—about the industry—and support each other. I suppose we could do more with what we know.
ReplyDeleteI was at a conference and the speaker suggested we ask the people in our lives about what they know and record it on a grid. It can be easier to ask a friend for info than dig through the stacks or surf the net. hehehe

Sharing your wisdom with others is a wonderful expression of love and caring. Thank you for co-hosting today.
ReplyDeleteHappy IWSG Day! Thanks for co-hosting this month. I love the idea of sharing knowledge. I think I'm too insecure- afraid that what I have to share, people already know.
ReplyDeleteI've thought about that, too, Pat--an influencer. Even posted about it today on Story Empire.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic attitude! We should all aim to share our wisdom before we pop off.
ReplyDeleteA podcaster or influencer is a good choice. Having a voice is so important!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on that thinking about life-sharing and actually you could do the influencer thing. You are doing it with your blog.
ReplyDeleteLee
I would definitely listen to your podcast and I'm sure many others would also.
ReplyDeleteSuch a touching answer to this month's question! Thank you for it and thank you always sharing your thoughts so beautifully. Another thanks for co-hosting today,

So, when will you become that amazing podcaster? Please do remember, not everyone listens, but lots of people read your blog!!! And love it. Count me in.
ReplyDeleteThanks for co-hosting, and I love your thoughts on sharing what we know. In a way, isn't that what our writing--fiction or otherwise--is about?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great answer, Pat. Yes, I listen to many podcasts myself. I learn something new each day. I need to become brave and share information on a podcast. Thanks for cohosting IWSG's question this month. Stay strong!

ReplyDeleteMy dear, you are already an influencer ;-) I love your posts! Happy IWSG Day and thank you for co-hosting!
ReplyDeleteI love what your pastor said, and you're right. You need to share what you know now to bless others. --Jenni Enzor https://jennienzor.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteGood call! Yes, I want to share too. It seems such a waste not to. Obviously, that's why I write.
ReplyDeleteIt might be interesting to be a podcaster and share your thoughts and knowledge. Maybe you should try it.
ReplyDeleteNow, that's a novel aspiration and I hear it's well-paying, too - go for it!
ReplyDeleteLovely. I try to pass on information on my blog, as least about writing and art.
ReplyDeleteNice idea! I bet you'd be a good influence, too. @samanthabwriter from

How interesting, Pat! I have thought about all the knowledge and wisdom that is lost when someone dies. Now you've got me thinking about what I'd want to share. Thanks for co-hosting today! ❤️
ReplyDeleteTrue. Wisdom is the last thing that you want to keep a secret
ReplyDeleteA kind, and giving answer. In a way your blog is your podcast and influence, and you've been a part of many in the IWSG. So wish granted? Thanks for co-hosting today!
ReplyDeleteThanks for co-hosting today!
ReplyDeleteYou can also say that sharing knowledge is equal to caring. To support others, their wellbeing, their dreams, etc.
Interesting perspective! You *could* do a podcast now. It doesn't require as much as you might think. You're always welcome to message me should you ever decide to do it and I can give you some info!
ReplyDeleteThanks for co-hosting!
ReplyDeleteYou can also say that sharing knowledge is equal to caring. To support others, their wellbeing, their dreams, etc.
I think of you as an influencer already, Pat. You may not be as famous as some of those others classed as influencers, but you have a wide circle, and what you do and say rubs off into their circles, causing ever-increasing ripples :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so true, Pat, though I hadn't thought of a graveyard that way.
ReplyDeleteI think that's a lovely idea. I wish there were better ways for all of us to share with one another more often!
ReplyDeleteIt's so weird. I thought I posted here already. 😶... I think sharing is a wonderful thing and I try to do that on my blog too.
ReplyDeleteI do like the idea of passing on knowledge or really, anything at all. We are prone, at least I am, to not say what I want but I am willing to pass it along if I could. It's human sometimes not to share, I guess.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
Compulsively sharing ... that's me. I like your idea. Secrecy do not make us richer, but poorer.
ReplyDeleteIt's always a privilege to be able to pass on knowledge to those who need it! I hope that, through my blog, I get to do the same.
